Eirik.

No idea if it will be a boy or a girl, quite early on (we think, not sure yet). DP and I have been talking about it and the only name we like so far has been used by a family member. :(

Not really keen on those names. :(

I really liked Freya for a girl, I think it's becoming more common now too. Not sure though. Confused

Frustrated That is one of my favourite names, reminds me of eurotrip though and how they thought Mieke was a man called Mike!

:( I do love that name though.

Such a pretty girls name though. Scandinavian possibly.

We had an exchange student called anya, she was lovely.

It seems to be Dutch, it is a lovely name. Just ran it by DP and he started singing that "big girls you are beautiful" song by Mika. Hmm

We're from Scotland so people might get confused. Hmm Have already had a Nurse in A+E call DS Ear ache! Shock

I think there might be some teasing about that if we are still in Glasgow when he/she goes to school!

Magnus is esp good as it matches your Scots/Viking themes

(We're Scots/Irish/English) so my two are Magnus and Conan. If I'd had a girl I'd have been v keen on Astrid. It sounds so cool and elegant. Also matches your son's name well.

I do like Magnus... DP says he's not too keen. :(

Conan is a brilliant name...

DP is Scottish on both sides, I am Scottish/German.

I have to say it is my fave boy's name of all time. It seems quite a marmite name. About 60% love it but some people we knew were horrified by it. FWIW it suits DS brilliantly and I adore it. You have excellent taste in names. Override your DH! :)

Conan is a Scottish/Irish saint. DS2 named after St Conan's Wel, a beautiful place somewhere around SW Scotland.

whoops - well I mean.
At least you both agree on Astrid so fingers crossed it is a girl :)

You have Excellent tastes in names as well. :o I love it but I am sure some of my family would be a bit Hmm.

All that matters is that it suits them, you like it and it isn't hard for them to live with.

Conan and Astrid are great. I also love Rowan or Tate for a boy. Freya is quite popular but ive also heard Freyelle which is less so. Henley has become popular since the brand name took off in the Uk, but sounds like Henry...so ok if u also like that i guess :)
