Baby names

Isaac or Milo

We don't know if baby is a boy or girl. I am pretty set with girls names but am struggling with boys. I think I have narrowed it down to Isaac or Milo. I love Milo but am concerned that it is the name if a Tweenie and also our surname begins with 'M'. I think alliteration names can sound quite good though. What do people think?

LOVE Milo, always have. I think Milo M... would be fine as long as your surname doesn't end in an "oh" sound as well.

Isaac is nice too. Milo is nicer though Wink

Does anyone even watch Tweenies any more?! My DS also has the name of a TV character, but he's not around so much any more (the character, not DS!).

At the time my DM groaned and said "oh no, are you joking?!" when I told her the name, but no-one else has even mentioned it since he was born, totally not an issue. As for the alliteration, I think its pretty cool.

I love the name Milo. In fact, I love any boys name ending in "o", like Ivo and Hugo.

Love Milo. It's on my list for this DS. Much prefer it to Isaac. Don't care about tweenies.

Isaac please. Milo is cute but cute doesnt cut it after the age of 10/11. Isaac is a strong name that will carry well into adulthood. Just my opinion...lol.

Is Myles an option think Milo is cute for a little boy but not a grown up name. Issac is nice but is very popular atm

Hugo? Rocco?

Both are nice names but slightly prefer Isaac, I think it will probably date less and is more classic.

I like both but Milo gets my vote. I know a few Isaac's and no Milo's.

I disagree that it doesnt work for older teens or grown ups. I know an 18 year old Milo and it suits him perfectly, he is a little skatey, a bit surfy, curly tousled hair, a bit scruffy, his name is just right. I really love it.

I like both but there are a lot of Isaac's around. And I can never remember how to spell it in birthday cards Blush.

My vote is for Milo.

definitely Isaac. Really strong name. won't date, sounds good at any age. Not common but recognisable.

I might be biased, ds is an Isaac - great name Grin

No other Isaac's in hos school

I heard someone shouting for a Milo once. I expected to see a dog when I turned around, not a slightly chubby 10 year old.
Might be cute as a baby but does it suit a grumpy teenager?

I LOVE Milo tho DH wouldn't let me as its the name of a bar in Leeds. Like Miles too, posh but cool.

I know little boys with both of these names and they're both lovely. I think Isaac has the edge for me for reasons steppemum said.
