Names for Twins!

Rowan1204 · 18/12/2012 19:36

I still have a fair bit of time as I am only 11 weeks but pregnant with identical twins (obviously do not know the sex yet but will be finding out as soon as we can do!)

I already have a DS who is called Rowan.

I have boys names that I love but Girls names, however, I am struggling to really fall in live with anything.

So far, ones I like are:

Amelie
Maya
Freya
Matilda (tilly)
Elodie

I also like Evelyn but my brother and his wife are about to pop and this is on their shortlist! so will have to see if they end up having a girl / using the name / mind if i steal it!

So does anyone have any other suggestions for girls names along these lines?!

Thanks in advance! : )

All nice names but not sure about Maya with Freya!

Thanks Remus.

I like Esme - that's quite sweet. not sure on Hester though and used to have a cat called Clover - never thought of it for a girls name but its actually really pretty! think the cat thing puts me off a bit though.

Someone did suggest Willow and Holly (following on from Rowan...) not sure if want to theme my kids names though!

Boys names I like are:

Arthur (Artie ) this one is definite if we have boys I love it!
and then one of the following:
Oscar
Theo
Felix
Edward
Benjamin

1978 agree about Maya and Freya - these were not really meant together but just a general mix and match list :)

On our list for a girl was:
Chloe, poppy, daisy, phoebe, Matilda, faith, esme, and willow.
But think we have narrowed it down to Niamh or Caitlin.

oooh I like Anya!
That's lovely!

names we have to rule out due to relatives etc naming theirs / close friends:

Annabel
Violet
Bella
Poppy
Alice

Also planning to avoid Rosie - even though I love it, but we often call our DS 'Ro' for short so Ro and Rosie would be a bit odd. I also have this same problem with Josephine and Florence which i LOVE!

Thanks everyone for the ideas :)

How about Adele or Adela? Pretty and not heard much.

Isobel or Ishbel rather than Bella maybe? Or Isolde?

I also really like Rowan and Naomi together. Rowan, Naomi and something else would look nice listed on Christmas cards! :)
