Isobel for me!

MonsterBookOfTinsel Tue 27-Nov-12 22:13:02

I prefer Isabelle, more choice in shortenings smile

EarnestDullard Tue 27-Nov-12 22:10:52

I have an Isobel, which is the Scottish spelling. Isabel is Spanish, Isabelle is French. So it goes without saying that I like the name grin but out of the two you've mentioned, I prefer the French spelling.

I prefer Isabelle because I would shorten it to Belle.

strawberryswing Tue 27-Nov-12 18:12:42

butterflybuns Tue 27-Nov-12 16:43:58

Mine is an Isabel so obviously prefer that spelling.

TomDaleysTrunks Tue 27-Nov-12 16:16:28

Mine is Isobel. Prefer Isabel over the two!

Alisvolatpropiis Tue 27-Nov-12 15:46:14

Oh and it's a very nice name! Thought you were just asking about the spelling not general thoughts as well.

Alisvolatpropiis Tue 27-Nov-12 15:44:34

I prefer Isabel.

MisselthwaiteManor Tue 27-Nov-12 15:34:52

Any opinions on this name? Which spelling is preferable? I'm leaning towards Isabel.
