I'd love to know, rather bored, what Mumsnetters have called their dcs if you love their names and are willing to share.

It'd be appreciated if this could be a criticism free thread. I'm pretty harsh with names myself at time, but this isn't the thread for it.

DC6 will be Torcaill if a boy and Artis if a girl smile

I've taught a female Etienne. It really suited her.

Dosent hurt unless your planning to emigrate I suppose.

Might even be bull I'm not well versed in French but I found it rather funny!

TessOfTheBaublevilles Wed 21-Nov-12 12:26:04

Étienne is indeed a French form of Stephen. The feminine form is Étiennette.

Not as popular as you think... Only one in her nursery class of 60.

BananaBubbles Wed 21-Nov-12 14:11:44

Why the hell would I want to know your bank account details?hmm You don't have to share if you don't want to you know.

Haylebop12 Wed 21-Nov-12 14:16:46

However I find Henry, Harry, Joshua and lily quite common the last few years

BananaBubbles Wed 21-Nov-12 14:16:49

That was to Trills btw.

Anyway to answer my own question,I have no children yet,but when I do a boy will probably be Ivor,Cade or Angus, and a girl,Sarah,Genevieve or Harriet.

Haylebop12 Wed 21-Nov-12 14:18:24

DS is Harley. I absolutely adore his name but do sometimes worry if I made the right choice due to the criticism it receives.

PickledFanjoCat Wed 21-Nov-12 17:02:50

I have a nephew called Harley.

It gets a slating on here but I think it's a lovely name.

compromises - sorry they are driving me potty!

blameitonthecaffeine Wed 21-Nov-12 18:55:41

The only one I have any regrets at all about is Isabella but only because there are so many of them.
