It's nice.

I like it. It's fine as a stand alone name.

I LOVE Rosie.

I think it's fine as a standalone name. But if you feel the need for a 'proper' name, I also like Rosita (which I've never come across here, but have in the Caribbean).

I really like Rosie as a name, not a nn

Rosie is a nickname to my ears. I'd put Rosemary or Rosina on the birth certificate.

I love Rosie, it`s a pretty name that always makes me smile smile

All the Rosies I've ever known have been smug, or the daughters of smug parents. That's what it makes me think of, other than that it's nice. I know a Rosanna nn Rosie.

Love it smile

We don't like longer versions so I think it will be Rosie on the bc. Glad some of you like it!

I love it! Such a pretty name smile

Its ok much prefer Rose.

doctordwt Wed 07-Nov-12 11:27:11

But she might like to have the choice of a longer version! I'd give her the option.

Rosie's lovely, but it's a nickname, and not very substantial.

Rosalind, Rosanna etc. - just beautiful.

Rosie is lovely!

For my ds2 I chose a name that was a 'nickname' although a name in its own right albeit a bit unusual. My dh was adamant that he needed a longer name for the bc so we did just that.

I can honestly say that I nor anyone else has ever used the longer name and I think it actually causes more confusion!
