I'm only newly pregnant so not exactly a pressing question, but trying to keep positive so wondering what you all think of our shortlist!

Dexter
Harry
Samuel
Sebastian
Jasper

Seraphina / Serafina
Amelie
Athina
Tallulah

Middle name will be James for a boy, but no idea for a girl! (Unless James works, as traditional in our family)

Some lovely names (loving Matilda, too!) but my vote goes to Seraphina and Jasper. Congratulations and good luck! Smile

Dexter makes me think of that serial killer tv programme

I really like Harry, Samuel and Jasper and love Sebastian, which I actually suggested to my DH this morning but he said made him think of posh public school toffs in Brideshead Revisited. so that'll be a no then

Amelie is my fave of the girls names but really like Athena too as I did classics at uni. I'd spell it with an 'e' though.

Thanks... I put an E and changed it to an I and thought it looked wrong! Smile

Seraphina with Athena a close second for the girls names. I went to school with an Athena, only one I've ever met.

I really like Jasper and Athena (spelt this way). Seraphina is lovely too, but would worry it's a bit too much. Amelie's ok but a bit overdone now imo, and I've never particularly liked Tallulah.

The other boys' names are fine - nothing offensive, but not inspiring me!

My 8 week old daughter is Serafina. Everyone comments on her name. Usually to say how beautiful it is. We wanted a saints name and something unusual and St Serafina (Fina) is the patron saint of where we went on honeymoon. Like Dexter and Sebastian from your boys names.

I think Cameron James for a boy is nice, as is Harrison James?

I like your girls names, and think you might also like ailsa? And for a cool middle name for a girl how about using jay instead of James (little less mescaline, but still giving a shout out to the family name?
