Love Jasper as a first name.

Have to have James as a middle name.. (Every male in my family as its a family surname that's going to die out)

And our surname is J..... A veeeery popularJ first name!

Jasper James J.... Totally silly?

GranToAirMissiles Sun 21-Oct-12 00:02:31

I like it.

Bit of a mouthful. What about another middle name as well? break the Js up a bit if you are set on it

MrsShrek3 Sun 21-Oct-12 00:04:54

Agree with Giraffes. Add another? (and not a J, obv wink )

ATourchOfInsanity Sun 21-Oct-12 00:06:23

Only one letter away from KKK confused

flossy101 Sun 21-Oct-12 00:07:04

Jasper Jones is lovely and the James will only be used occasionally if middle name? I like grin

curiousgeorgie Sun 21-Oct-12 00:07:09

Hmmm.... That's a good idea.

My brain went straight to 'John' though as its FIL's name! grin

Ill have to think of one!

giraffesCantGoGuisingAsZebras Sun 21-Oct-12 00:08:26

or a g! don't pick George!

It sounds a wee bitty like you are reading a register of j names.

Adam jumped in to my head.

eBook Sun 21-Oct-12 00:13:22

Too many Js.

MrsShrek3 Sun 21-Oct-12 00:14:38

Keep that to yourself, giraffes. He'll be jumping elsewhere soon wink

Fwiw I think you need a consonant, possibly second. Third if the first two are set, obv....vowels have too much room for micky taking imho. I knew a jimmy James-Jenkins. He completely failed the playground test gringrin

SoggyMoggy Sun 21-Oct-12 00:16:09

As long as it isn't John Jacob Jingleheimer-Schmidt I think you're probably okay.

giraffesCantGoGuisingAsZebras Sun 21-Oct-12 00:44:28

if Adam is hot then he is welcome in my bed. I am currently in bed with torey hayden. (I mean in book form before I get done for slander)

I know 2 JJJs (both men in mid-twenties) and they both like it. It's fine!

ScaryBeardyDeadyman Sun 21-Oct-12 10:40:29

Do you want your child to be a marvel superhero/character? They all have alliterative names...

curiousgeorgie Sun 21-Oct-12 10:41:31

I wouldn't mind if my child was a superhero wink

GlaikitFizZombie Sun 21-Oct-12 10:44:21

I think its fine. Go for it!

ScaryBeardyDeadyman Sun 21-Oct-12 10:46:15

you might want this then

peachypips Sun 21-Oct-12 19:53:21

I was JJ before I got married. I also know a
couple called Joy and Jeremy Jackson which I love! Never caused any of us any probs.

CrapBag Sun 21-Oct-12 20:00:12

I don't see how initials matter tbh.

No one is going to think "oh look at him with 2 j's as initials' and take the piss.

As long as it isn't spelling out 'KNOB' or something then its fine. grin

LonelyCloud Sun 21-Oct-12 20:00:17

It reminds me of John Jonah Jameson from Spiderman grin

justhayley Sun 21-Oct-12 20:54:36

I think add another name to break it up a bit. It's not ridiculous though as middle names arnt used that much anyway.

MoelFammau Mon 22-Oct-12 16:48:32

Why are some folk so anti-alliteration? My name alliterates and everyone comments on how funky it is. I'm 34.

Felicitywascold Mon 22-Oct-12 16:52:28

It's really fine. Only MN hysteria would convince anyone otherwise. Out there ... In the real world. Noone cares/notices/raises an eyebrow.
