Boring or classic?

My DH adores this name (it was his grandmothers) and before I was pregnant, I really liked it and we'd decided a first DD would be called it. However, now that it's a reality I'm not as sure about it. I like how it's not pretty or fussy and also that it's not too common. But is it dull?

Middle name would be Rose as per my family's tradition.

It's lovely! Very pretty and not too popular.

Very Dull I'm afraid

A beautiful name. I'm biased though as it is a bit of a family name (was my maternal grandmother's name and quite a few aunts, nieces and cousins have it as a middle name)

My six year old is a Frances . We chose it as we wanted something classic that wasn't over used . It suits her perfectly , and not at all dull and boring . Some of her friends call her frankie now . Maybe it's how she is but on her it's edgy with a touch of Tom boy !!

Lovely name that makes a refreshing change from all the cutesy Lilys, Millys and Ellies these days.

Frances Rose - perfect!

It's my daughter's middle name and I think it's cool... (I also like that it's Baby from Dirty Dancing's real name, and the name of Kurt Cobain's daughter. How can you not love that.. Grin)

Really gorgeous. If I were to have another girl, I'd seriously consider it. Not that I will. But it's lovely, and I agree that Frankie is a cute nickname.

Wonderful name.
My mum is Frances, and is known as Fran to some friends, which I think is a nice nickname for an adult, and Frankie is cute for a child.
