What names go with DS called Iden? - What do you think of these names?

DS is called Iden.

It is hard following Iden as it is quite an unusual name but suits our DS brilliantly. Iden is a very old fashioned name which we found in C16 records. We are expecting DC2 and as I am bored at work thought I would see what others thought on the following? this is my enitre list!! Can anyone add to it??

Girl - Elodie (nn. Ellie)

Boy - Quinlan (nn. Quinn)

I actively dislike Elodie, sorry, and don't think it goes with Iden. Quinlan is quite interesting, though.
As you like old names, how about:

Girls
Hester
Janet
Margaret
Alison
Agnes
Marjorie
Heloise
Nancy
Annette
Blanche
Eleanor (you could still have Ellie!)

Boys
Bruno
Cosmo
Alastair
Arthur
Bartholomew

thanks, the names i like in both list unfortunately are also the names of close family members! You obviously have similar tastes to my and DH's family. we take up 7 of those names!

Thanks Iden is pronounced eye - den.
Gwennan I love your suggestions - thanks!!
I like Elodie alot as Iden means from the marsh pastures and elodie means marsh flowers. And we have strong connections to farming around a marsh area. :-)

I love the look of Iago. How would you pronounce that?

What about Iona for a girl?

Elodie is lovely (although Ellie is quite popular).

Quinlann is a great name as is nickname Quinn. We have a Quentin which you may also like?

I also like the suggestions of Orson, Linus and Alaric to go with Iden.

Sorry Quinlan (don't know where the other n came from) Blush

I like Elodie and Quinlan - both are great underused classics that go well with Iden imo.

(agree that Ellie is quite popular as a nickname).

No its not pronounced Tie-lo, unless you are English. It is a hard sound for non Welsh speakers as its between an Eye sound and an ay sound. You sound the E as in egg and then the I as in in, but close together.

I think Elodie is beautiful.

Quinlan - not heard this before but just looked up the meaning and it seems to mean 'fit' and 'strong', being an Irish/Gaelic originally. Lovely meaning!!
