We have 2 boys, Alfie and Jack.

Both very common although not common where we live. Both have middle name of James.

Ds3 will have middle name of James too.

Can't decide/agree in a first name. What do you think?

Or something else?

Bradley makes me think of Bradley Walsh.
Dylan I like.
As for Ben....

As for James, I like you using this name for all of them, I have a Michael James and a James Alexander.

Bradley - dont like sorry
Dylan - fine
Ben - just millions and millions every family has a Ben it is totally overdone.

Just for interest why are they all called James?

BoysBoysBoysAndMe Fri 28-Sep-12 21:58:45

James for all 3 as its my dh middle name.

And my brother is Michael James or we would consider Michael. Love Thomas too but my younger brother is Tom.

Dh initials are AJD, so wanted to name dc3 with a D name so our sons are dh initials iyswim.

But dh not keen on Dylan, where out of those 3 choices its my favourite.

Boys names are so hard!

Yes Bradley is Bradley Walsh. I like Dylan and Ben. David? (nn Davy?)

PickledFanjoCat Fri 28-Sep-12 22:01:51

Love Dylan love Ben, don't like Bradley.

That's me!

WinklyFriedChicken Fri 28-Sep-12 22:03:16

I like the name Ben, despite knowing one that I really disliked. not keen on the other two names.

Dermot/Diarmuid? Daniel?

ErmahgerdPerngwens Fri 28-Sep-12 22:03:29

Love Ben, Dylan is ok, less keen on Bradley.

I think trying too hard for the initials is less important than finding a name you both love.

Boys names are totally impossible though!

I really like the name Bradley Esp this olympic year smile. Think it sounds nice with your other sons name too

FunnysInLaJardin Fri 28-Sep-12 22:26:59

Ben, but do think it's odd that they all have the same middle name

FunnysInLaJardin Fri 28-Sep-12 22:28:24

Baby David, of course grin

Bradley is OK

Honeymoonmummy Fri 28-Sep-12 22:36:49

Dylan James is my DS's name (18 months) - we don't hear many other boys with the name Dylan.

Numberlock Fri 28-Sep-12 22:39:07

funny ha ha love it, ten out of ten for you!

Tryingtothinkofnewsnazzyname Fri 28-Sep-12 22:39:22

NellyJob How else would you pronounce it? Die-lan? smile

Quite a few Dylans round here.

jellybeans Fri 28-Sep-12 22:53:04

I like them all but Dylan really goes well with your other DC names. My fave is Bradley.

PickledFanjoCat Fri 28-Sep-12 22:54:19

As its welsh it's pronounced here dull-an more than dillan

Tryingtothinkofnewsnazzyname Fri 28-Sep-12 22:56:50

Oh! Well, every day's a school day smile

NellyJob Fri 28-Sep-12 22:57:45

as pickledfanjocat said it's a Welsh name and the English pronunciation of it is v annoying tbh and makes me think of a character from the magic

PickledFanjoCat Fri 28-Sep-12 22:58:29

My welsh speaking friend Dylan gets very upset about it if he gets called dillan!

Don't think it's at all a problem though if you live in England and want to pronounce it that way?
