After boys' names starting with 'O'...

We don't know what sex DC2 is so we're having to think of both girl and boy names, which is proving very very very hard as we are very short of ideas on either count.

But... I do like Oliver (discounted as too popular) and Otto (discounted as our immediate neighbour's grandson is called Otto, and he visits a lot so feels too close.

So if anyone has any O names please share .

Quite like Oscar but clashes with surname - and I like Owen, that's provisionally on the list.

A good friend of mine had a rabbit called Otis, so it is forever a bunny's name to me. Orlando is much too out-there for me.

It doesn't have to, I'm just struggling to find boys' names that I like and I seem to like a few 'O' ones so thought I'd try and find some more.

Other suggestions are welcome, but I am very awkward and hate most boys' names!

Orsen, like Orsen Welles? I don't like it particularly. Odin is a name I like.

DH suggested Saul this morning - do you pronounce it like Paul but with an 'S'? DH seems to think you say it 'Soul'.... Is that true?

Quite like Felix and Jasper from your list YouMay - there are a few on there that we couldn't use, e.g. Nicholas is DH's name . I also have a godson called Peter, which otherwise would be a lovely choice. Gregory and Alexander are also nice, although not keen on Greg as a short form.

Is Owen a fairly neutral name in terms of class/background? DD has a very neutral name and I think when you see her full name/surname combo you wouldn't be able to 'place' her IYSWIM - Owen appeals to me in the same way. Does anyone know many Owens? I don't think I've ever met one.
