Due with a baby girl on Dec 23rd what do people think of the name Holly or is it too popular for xmas babies

I very much like Holly. I am a bit put off by the christmas thing though like it's a bit sort of twee, even though it's not. It's veyr pretty though. I know a grown up Holly and she is gorgeous.

I like it. I know a few Holly's and one Hollie (which I prefer), but it does seem a tad cliche to use it on a winter baby.

It's lovely and I don't think the Christmas connection should put you off at all! I love the name Noelle but feel that I could only use it for a Christmas dd.

Love it. Ours is 10, and like every other one we've ever known, gorgeous. She's July though...and we are constantly asked if she was a Christmas baby. I sometimes think I'll just say yes next time.

Gorgeous name for any time of the year. holly is evergreen so fine for anytime of year but berries come out autumn to spring which is why the Xmas association etc.

I have a Holly and she is the only Holly in her school, she wasn't a xmas baby (we jest loved the name), its a very pretty name (shame dd1 is a tom boy).

I named my daughter Holly, born in May, when Holly flowers. (I only found that out after!) Do get asked if she's a christmas baby a lot though, but that doesn't really bother me.

Although I may be biased - I have my nearly 3 week old August born Holly Elizabeth snuggled up on me at the moment! Must say this thread has cheered me up
