When I try to research this name on the net, all I get is that it's from the native americans, meaning 'first daughter'. But it's also in my Welsh Names book, although without any meaning or history. What do you think? Does anyone know a Welsh Wynona? Is it an old welsh name? I thought any Y form was male for a start, ie Gwen/ Gwyn.
May be completely barking up the wrong tree here but if it does have welsh heritage, then I love it!
