Has anyone made a mistake when naming their DC?

I was wondering as I have read a couple of posts asking if the chosen names sound ok with their surnames. Has anyone named their DC and only realised at a later date that their name doesn't work for some reason e.g it reads as a phrase or the nn doesn't go well. Does it bother you or not?

We're having to avoid certain names, including some favourites, due to our surname.

Yes (sad)

My 3rd DC's name doesn't fit right at all for me, now. Is still a newborn, and I had one name in mind all the way from finding out the sex. But we couldn't agree on it, so settled for a different name (which I do love, but it isn't 'the' name, the name I wanted and which burst into my head as soon as DC was born and took my first look)

Appears that my only option is to take him to court in order to get permission to change the name, because he won't agree to change it any other way (sad) but I feel that strongly about it, so am doing my research.

Watching this thread with interest for an advice from posters who have experienced similar..
