Ugliest baby names according to Twitter...thoughts?

Disclaimer This is not my list - I have just copied and pasted from Babble.com the internet, and I am genuinely surprised at some of the entries!
I agree some of them, IMO are ugly but there are plenty of names that I would class as 'Normal' (whatever that means) but IMO about 90% are names I would never use for my DC, however some have made me chuckle, and most I've never heard of - not sure if it's a piss take...Sausagea for example Confused

Still not sure if La-a is real though... Hmm Blue Ivy on there too.

The article states:

Aaw I love Phyllis. What in earth is Sausagea though? Is that real?

I am surprised by some of the names, Rosie, Edward and Arthur especially don't seem ugly to me!

And then I like, but appreciate not everyone would; Gwen and Phillip.

A lot of the names here I don't think are 'ugly' names, but maybe names with associations people don't like so they have categorised names they don't like as 'ugly' for the purpose of this Twitter thing, iyswim.

Oooh, Howard is growing on me...

Not Lahyphena then?

Don't agree with lots

Lahyphena sounds like a monster from a Greek myth Grin

I'm surprised by some of the names on the list. And something like Sausagea cannot be real.

Most of them are perfectly nice. A very few are dreadful. The rest are ok.

I don't think it's terribly naice to slate name choices (then again, I don't do twitter, so perhaps I'm just an old fogey).

But there is perhaps a line beyond which it is just terrible to go, and Sausagea is probably beneath it.

Most of those names are perfectly ordinary. Apart from the ones that look made up (like Sausagea Hmm)

Arthur & Edward were on our shortlist of names for DS.

Oh dear. I knew I shouldn't have looked at this thread. Two of my DC names are on it.

I think if you took all the Rosies, Edwards, Sallys, Philips, Stuarts and Billys out of the equation you would have to rename a lot of children and adults! (I work with all of those names)
Does Ya?Tonya really come with a question mark? Saying this because I think Tonya's quite a nice name... I don't believe Sausagea!

My DD's name (not Sausagea, I hasten to add) and my current frontrunner for a boy are both on there - I love them, and I think the reception of names changes with association anyway. My friends would just think of my cute, chatty little DD when presented with that name. Anyone else can kiss my ass!

My sons middle name is there - it's a beautiful name IMO (obviously) Clarence really rocks too and does not belong!

My son's lovely name is there. So they aren't all hideous, anyway, who made Twits the arbiters of good taste?

Eek! Poor DH name is on there! It's not a cool name and its too 'old' for him but because we don't know anyone with that name his age he's gotten away with it and made it his own!

I like a lot of names on that list. Presumably a lot of the people making suggestions were America. So god knows what their own kids were called. Grin
