Baby names

Being induced tonight and not got a girl's name

First baby on the way. We didn't want to find out the sex, so are having to think of names for both girl and boy. We're happy with boy choice but are still stumped for a girl name.

I want something that isn't too common (so nothing from the top 50 list for he last few years) but nothing too way out or new-fangled sounding.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...we really are stumped and I'm starting to panic!

What's your boys name? That might give us a rough idea of your 'style' so to speak!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. Sorry for being so late in reply; the induction turned into a two night/three day failure leading to an emcs, so I was in hospital for a while!

StealthNinja, one of your suggestions came up trumps in the end; Erin is the name we chose. She was, however, nearly called Kiri but she just didn't look like one.

Thanks again, all who gave suggestions, we really appreciated them!

Congratulations, I just wanted to reply to the people who recommended thea and violet. I am 10 weeks post birth and in the new baby circuit I have come across 2 theas and 2 violets. They stand out to me as they were on my list and I am now relieved I didn't pick them. Erin is lovely, the only one of those I have come across is 2 now.
