Hypothetical question on name alliteration!

Hypothetcialy speaking can we have 2DC with the same first initial?

I'm not keen on alliteration and have said say on here before however I really like the name. We have a DD and would only do this if we had a DS.

What do you think?

I think it's fine if it's a boy and a girl. It's a bit cute, but I'd do it if you love the name.

Agree that it's fine for a girl and a boy (although a bit reminiscent of Janet and John).

If you are personally bothered by alliteration it may start to grate on you - but I don't think that's a reason not to pick the name if you really love it.

Shall I tell you the names? That might help?

Unless you're pronouncing Honor different to me they don't even alliterate - you're absolutely fine.

Just make sure they have a different middle initial, and that you use it on things like child bank accounts (speaks from experience of muddled up mail when living at home)

I don't think they sound alliterative tbh. Lovely names.

I know twins called Michael and Michelle Hmm

Different genders and middle initials is okay in my book.

They don't alliterate, it's only alliteration if the sound's the same

I'm not big on alliteration (I know a family of 5 which all alliterate Confused) but in this case I think it's fine given the pronunciations.

Great names btw both Hamish and Hugh.

Honor is also a fantastic name!

Oh and all of the kids for generations have a first name starting with R, my MIL stopped this tradition with her dd but both boys start with R as does her husband and so on

They are lovely names and go nicely together, they have the same first letter but not the same sound so I don't see it as a problem.
