Love it, my DH vetoed it for DD as we're both fans of the games.

Wasn't it Zerelda in Mallory Towers?

For me, Zelda will always be the hideous one from terrahawks.

Zelda Fitzgerald

Reminds me of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, as she had an Aunt Zelda. I believe Robin Williams has a daughter called Zelda.

I know a zelda who is a right royal bitch. If it wasn't for her, I'd like it.

Definitely if she has pointed ears.

Zelda Fitzgerald is the only person I think of - I don't play computer games!

Zelda did have a rather tragic life but she always comes across as being very captivating and fascinating, so the name definitely conveys the sense to me of someone enigmatic and fascinating.

Just never let her near an ocarina.

Seriously, the Zelda game is one of the best selling of all time. It's not going to be something that goes away with time. It is unfortunately like naming a boy Kermit (whichis otherwise a fine old Irish name).

A fortune-teller's name.

TheSurgeonsMate · 17/01/2012 09:47

I had no idea that Kermit was a fine old Irish name! I'd be happy with Zelda, but I agree that the games aren't going anywhere in a hurry.

you could always use Griselda with Zelda as a nn.
