I'm just bouncy around ideas - ie to put on list or not?

What do you think of it?

Dexifehatz Fri 21-Oct-11 00:26:50

Marsh.Next!

babybumblebeee Fri 21-Oct-11 01:23:34

terrible

GirlWithALlamaTattoo Fri 21-Oct-11 08:54:54

I think it's dated - there probably aren't many outside the 25-35 age range. If it's special to you, though, bollocks to everyone else.

I know a boy called Jodie or is it Jody for a boy?

Fixture Fri 21-Oct-11 09:04:10

I like it.

Similar names - how about Josie, short for Josephine? Or Judy, short for Judith?

BedatHogwarts Fri 21-Oct-11 09:06:41

I like it for a boy. For a girl it's a bit......erm......horsey.

EdithWeston Fri 21-Oct-11 09:08:44

I've met two boys called Jodie recently - one small one and one about 18.

It sounds like a nn to me: are you thinking of it as a BC name or a nn?

jellybeans Fri 21-Oct-11 12:46:09

I like it and think it will make a come back.

lurkinginthebackground Fri 21-Oct-11 21:30:52

I like it.

SaffronCake Fri 21-Oct-11 21:40:56

It's a no from me, sorry. For me it's the Sandra of a younger generation. I can't see it coming back soon enough for a child named now to enjoy the retro-cool that happens when something has a come back.

I quite like it - bloomin' terrible for a boy though.

MelinaM Fri 21-Oct-11 23:19:27

I think it is rather dated, and certainly more masculine sounding.

stressheaderic Fri 21-Oct-11 23:25:54

I like it, but I like Joni a bit more.

Unlurked Fri 21-Oct-11 23:28:24

Horrible. I went to school with a few jodies and they were all awful.

Even worse for a boy!

Unlurked Fri 21-Oct-11 23:29:12

I like Joni and Jolie though smile

PartialToACupOfMilo Fri 21-Oct-11 23:32:40

I like it - Janie is nice too.

rockboobs Fri 21-Oct-11 23:37:22

Joely is better.

HauntedHengshanRoad Sat 22-Oct-11 12:22:12

It reminds me of the Spanish word for "fuck".

Rydwinhofficoffi Mon 24-Oct-11 19:37:00

okay

couldn't decide Edith esp as couldn't think of what it could be short for anyway.

Well I feel maybe on maybe pile.

CheeseandGherkins Mon 24-Oct-11 19:39:08

It's my name, I like it smile

DD2 is a Jodie. She is Judith on BC but no one ever calls her that. We did for a bit when she was born but after about 9mnths she was Jodie at all times.
I love it.
