Somewhere between guy-us and g-eye-us.

Emphasis on the ai

Definitely not for me!

Too Roman for me. Don't know why that's a problem for me, but it is.

No.

No one will know how to pronounce it.

And, sorry, but it is incredibly poncy.

I would use Caius

I love it as a name, but, I mean, realistically - look at it. When he is a teenager the other boys WILL call him GAY-ARSE. They just will.

I was told anything Roman or Greek was trying too hard a while ago, though frankly I disagree, so that part is fine IMHO.

Middle name Julius?

NotaDude
Julius, Maximilian, Cassandra - there are plenty of Roman/Greek names that are lovely and not at all poncy.

But Gaius is a step too far, imo.

Okay, I'll have to add the qualification that I have decent Latin and at least some Greek. I consider it a hobby.

You might not want to consider my views on the subject average. I am planning on calling my daughter Persephone unless MN can talk some sense into me. :o

I rather like it, but it is ponce-tastic.

Guess we all said the same thing - the obvious response. I did mean it tongue in cheek ... Maybe i should have used an emoticon.

Heehee, don't think I said anything Oakmaiden didn't, not sure why one is worse than another. But I guess you get the idea, OP!
