I almost said Thomasina on that 'names that will never come back in to fashion' post earlier today but changed my choices to Roger and Mildred.

I really like your other 3 names. we considered 2 of them when we were expected DD.

Martha and Jemima would be ok-ish. Not Scarlett (too tarty). Thomasina is positively nice.

The others are a bit meh.

I love Scarlett and Jemima

Thomasina is a mouse (Tamsin is just about okay)
Jemima is a duck

Martha is the best I think. Scarlett comes across as a bit faddy.

Thomasina was my cats name.

Thomasina is a ridiculous name IMO.

The rest are fine.

I love Thomasina and Jemima but think Martha is a bit dull and Scarlett has had its day.

I love Thomasina and Martha. Don't like Scarlett (little scar) or Jemima (pancakes).

Tis a bit Nigel / Nigella

Funny you should say that, Nigella Lawson had a sister called Thomasina.

What about Tamasin rather than Thomasina? Although I really like it.

It makes me think of my favourite film as a child, about a ginger cat called Thomasina.

I like all your names except for Martha ( its too old fashioned for me and not strong or pretty sounding to my ears)

Thomasina is a pretty classic under used choice.

Love Jemima, also has pretty nn mimi and jem.

Scarlet I love, thought about this for our DD1.

Out of all your suggestions I like Jemima the best.

Love Thomasina (reminds me of Thomasina Miers as in Master Chef, Wahaca etc)

Go for it

I always tell Dh if he dies and I was pg I'd called the baby Thomasina. He thought I had made the name up in my head though Grin

I really like it. It seems elegant.

I love Tommasina - it's Italian...as am I. So I can assure you you haven't made it up! It was on my shortlist (I'm having a boy) but I would have slight doubts thinking it's a bit Jolly Hockeysticks! :-)

Thomasina is the female protagonist in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia which I really enjoyed reading and watching. Unfortunately OH is not keen.
