Hi there I am after a name for ds1, dd1 is Kitty Louisa. Here goes...

Walter...would love to honour my late grandad..nut can i really?
Ralph, sidney, Valentine, Gus,Arthur Vincent (Vinnie), Douglas (Dougie)would rather like a name without an e/y sound on end as kitty? Love George but thats brothers name. Want something quite unusual

oh and in case they are wrong girls: Florence? cecilia (cece), Sybil, Rosa, Ada, Dulcie?

Love Valentine, Vincent and Ralph. How about Quentin or Clement?

Rosa is lovely from your girls list. Florence is becoming quite trendy and the meaning of Cecilia isn't that nice imo.

I like Walter and Sidney for a boy, and Arthur is OK. Could you use George as middle name?

I like Florence, Cecilia, Sybil and Rosa from your girls list.

Arthur or Douglas from your boy's list. If you're not sure about Walter, could you use it as middle name?

In case of a girl - I think Rosa and Ada go best with your DDs name (which is lovely btw!).

I think they're mostly awful (sorry), esp Valentine and Sidney. Ralph is a nickname for a penis.

Dougie is OK.

Girls-wise - Sybil is beyond vile and verging on child abuse, Dulcie and Cecilia too twee but I could live with Florence and Rosa. I like Ada.

Gus! It's my number one choice if we have a boy. From your girls names I like Sybil and Dulcie.

Walter, lovely, Ralph, good, Sidney, nice and good nickname Sid.

Valentine - I love it but I think it is not very good nowadays, sounds a bit femanine.

Not keen on Gus.

Arthur is nice and cute and maybe good too when he grows up.

Not so keen on Vincent (Vinnie) or Douglas (Dougie).

I would definitely use George as a middle name, it's lovely.

Good luck with choosing.

I like all yr girls' names OP, especially Florence which was on our DS2 list, and Rosa.

Boys I like Arthur and Sidney and George and yes, Walter (DH was having none of it!).

But aren't some people rude! Sybil verging on child abuse? That's the name of the daughter of a good friend of mine and she is a long way from being an abused child.
