What do you think? Or is it better as Farren?

MediumPretty Thu 21-Jul-11 13:38:25

Bad choice however you spell it.

ragged Thu 21-Jul-11 13:48:14

How do you expect to say it? Does it have a meaning?

hmm Is it a boy's or a girl's name? Sounds like a made-up word to me. Isn't Faron Sutaria an estate agent?

PaperBank Thu 21-Jul-11 14:47:34

Farren is an English name meaning "adventurous" and can be for a boy or a girl.

Personally not keen - too much like Darren, Sharon etc.

Sounds made up, is it actually a name? I've heard of Farrah, but not Farron!

Nightstar Thu 21-Jul-11 20:54:21

Ferran Adrià, the amazing michelin starred chef from El Bulli, right? Cool!

Littletonlady Wed 27-Jul-11 14:03:06

LivinInATinyZoo Thu 28-Jul-11 12:49:13

I like Faryn, was on our long shortlist!

Greenwing Thu 28-Jul-11 20:32:15

Is this for a boy?
I know it from Faron Young the American singer and the song of that name by Prefab Sprout.

Quite like it for a boy - sounds American!

For a girl sounds made up for some reason and also sounds like Fallon - of 'The Colbys' and 'The Archers' fame!

I have seen it on 'Oirish' baby name lists, the sort of list that says Kelsey is an Irish name...

<Farren few, far and few, are the lands where the Jumblies live...>
