I like Juniper. Very pretty.
Not so sure about Fionnula.

Artemis - OK, Artemisia nice also
Juniper - quite nice but personally the gin connection would put me off
Fionnula - OK, would think you may have Irish connections
Juno - quite nice, although I prefer June
Hestia / Hester - Hestia OK, don't like Hester so much (sounds a bit solid)
Clementine - my favourite from your list smile

How about Violet, Aurora, Minerva, Ivy, Constance, Clara, Iris, Leonie, Alma, Scarlett, Cassandra, Frances, Audrey, Phoebe?

OuchFriggingBludger Wed 13-Jul-11 20:02:30

i like a few of those, however DP has a slight lisp, and cant quite pron' Aurora,Scarlett or Constance, and Ivy was DS's name,if he were a girl....

I feel like a bit of a fraud posting as im not pregnant....i just LOVE thinking of baby names!

oh,i do have some irish grandmother was irish, can i get away with Fionnula?
i love the name finn/fionn,but its so overused.

I love Hester and Pippa. I've always loved Hester since A Prayer for Owen Meany (Hester the Molester!). I like Pippa as it's cheerful and sweet, but perhaps a bit 'of the moment' what with the Middleton thing.

MerryMarigold Wed 13-Jul-11 20:07:40

I don't think Fionn is common for a girl, particularly not in the UK

OuchFriggingBludger Wed 13-Jul-11 20:14:17

oh blimey,i hadnt thought of pippa Middleton....almost rules that one out really....hmmm
