how many sophia's do you know?

I have a Sophia, and she's fab! I don't know any other Sophias, but know 3 Sophie's.

I've heard that it can be pronounced 'soph-eye-a' rather than 'soph-ee-a' so that could make it a wee bit different if you fancied? (Although my DM pronounces it 'sophie-a' despite being corrected a million times! )

I know one little Sophie, but Sophia is even more of a hard name to live up to, as I believe it is the correct pronunciation of the greek word.

there is one in Ds's class who is 6, I know of 2 toddler Sophia's (friends of friends) and one baby one.....

I am aware of many more Sophie's than Sophia's. I really wanted the name Safiya for DD but a hideious spitefull woman who DH named her DD it the week before mine was born.

Sonia is nice too (Russian diminutive for Sofia). I love the Mexican name Xochitl (pr. SO-shee) and the Irish name Síofra (pr. SHEE-uh-fra)
