Classy girls names
(38 Posts)I'm on the lookout for some classy girls names that aren't too popular.
So far i've compiled;
Cecilia
Cordelia
Mabel
Elizabeth
Harriet
Henrietta
Georgia
Juliet
Maria
I was just wondering what people thought of them and if you have any ideas, please share. Thanks!
Harriet is my favourite from your list.
I have two on that list and we're not particularly classy
Cecilia and Harriet are lovely - I know a Cecilia, she is 2 yrs old
I also know a Nora, she's 5 yrs old and an Elsie - she is very new, 2 weeks old
I lurve old fashioned names!
Georgia , Maria, Cordelia, love those.
suggestions: Anna, Etna, Sofia, Maya, Arabella.
Juliet is lovely. Its on my list too.
Alexandra
Artemis
Camilla
Claudia
Delilah
Francesca
Helena
Jemima
Lavinia
Perdita
Persephone
Rosamund
Tamara
Cecilia is my favourite from your list.
I prefer Julia to Juliet. Other suggestions;
Catherine
Caroline
Fiona
Mary
Jane
Emily
Anna
Maria lovely and surprisingly underused I think.
Laura is lovely
My daughter has Cordelia as one of her names. She hates it.
Her name is Lakshme Miriam Cordelia: Lakshme after the Indian Goddess of Good Fortune (I am Indian) and the other two names her English father chose.
She is called Lucky by her friends.
Juliet
Leonora
Anne
Christabel
Mary
Rachel
I would remove Georgia from your list TBH - its fine but I don't think it fits with your criteria. All others mentioned are lovely.

What does "classy' mean?
I would substitute Georgina for Georgia...
Love your DD's name drfayray
Love Cecilia - and also, Celia.
How about Ophelia?
Davina?
but what is "classy"?
Clarissa!
Julia
Beatrice
Victoria
Louise
Margaret
Prefer Celia or Cecily to Cecelia
Mabel is lovely
Alexandra but then I'm biased.
Seriously though it's at school, there was only one other in my school at primary and in secondary.
At university I didn't come across another in any of my classes.
At work I didn't come across any others in any of my jobs.
It's very classy and not at all popular.
