Please would you give me your feedback on these names? Or even suggest other names along the same lines? Thanks!

I like Tobias the best, followed by Theo, Reuben and Miles. How about Conrad or Dominic?

MelinaM Sat 18-Jun-11 23:52:25

Reuben and Theo are my favouritessmile

Miles is a bizarre name for a child ...but that's just me! Like Tobias but hate the nn Toby.

PamBeesly Sun 19-Jun-11 00:10:30

Theo and Reuben from that list for me, other suggestions, Caspar, Sebastian, Dan. Good luck smile

qwerty123 Sun 19-Jun-11 00:11:24

Tobias is our favourite but as it has 3 syllables, it's likely to be shortened. So I've been trying to think of one or two syllable names instead.

mathanxiety Sun 19-Jun-11 00:25:08

Toby is a nice nn for Tobias

ja9 Sun 19-Jun-11 00:27:57

I love tobias and Reuben. Other 2 nice too. Do you like jonas?

qwerty123 Sun 19-Jun-11 00:37:35

Not so keen on Jonas as I used to know one, even though he was a great guy - but I do like Jonah.

noddyholder Sun 19-Jun-11 00:38:58

My ds has 4 mates with those names so funny to see them all written together on here!

SloganLogan Sun 19-Jun-11 11:18:06

I like Theo (would use Theodore as full name), and Miles. Reuben is OK, not keen on Tobias. Jonah is nice too.

How about Felix, Joshua, Samuel, Elliot, Arlo?

rachel234 Sun 19-Jun-11 16:54:05

Miles is the plural of Mile, which is still widely used in the UK, isn't it hmm. Like naming your son Kilometres grin.

I like Dominic, Theodore and Conrad. How about Quentin (Quinn) or Felix?

Bonsoir Sun 19-Jun-11 16:57:28

Miles is a really terrible name. Theo, Reuben and Tobias are all very much of the same ilk - slightly passé MC pretentious.

shoobidoo Sun 19-Jun-11 17:03:08

I'm not keen on any but if I had to choose, Reuben. Miles is indeed too widely used as a measure for distance in the UK - would be an odd name choice imo.

queenbathsheba Sun 19-Jun-11 17:06:11

Love all of them but esp like Theo. Have you thought of Lucian.

qwerty123 Mon 20-Jun-11 00:06:39

Hi noddyholder. How extraordinary! Great names!

qwerty123 Mon 20-Jun-11 00:14:01

Hi slogan. Already have a gorgeous DS Felix. Love Elliot but have to work on DH for that!

qwerty123 Mon 20-Jun-11 00:16:45

Really like Dominic, Quentin and Lucian but DH has strongly vetoed!

qwerty123 Mon 20-Jun-11 00:18:34

Hmmm...I am seeing that Miles is not well liked, so that's coming off the list!

PanicMode Mon 20-Jun-11 11:16:30

There are loads of Theos - we have a 7 year old Theodore (Theo) but since he was born, there seem to have been an explosion of them - possibly due to Theo Walcott?! Although the football element seem to call theirs 'Feeeo' grin.

Anyway, am slightly disappointed that when we chose it, he was 'rare' and everyone commented on what a great, unusual name it is - now there are lots of them.

My DD (6) has a Miles, Tobias and Reuben in her class - they're all a bit of the moment tbh.

All very 'trendy' names especially Theo and Toby. I would probably chose Ruben as it isn't as widely used already. Miles I'm not keen on, sorry.

minipie Mon 20-Jun-11 11:32:23

How about Milo instead of Miles?

Out of your list, I'd go for Tobias (but I'd probably just call him Toby)

Others that might fit the bill:

Nathaniel (Nat/Nate)

bigbluebump Mon 20-Jun-11 11:34:35

This is Milo

bigbluebump Mon 20-Jun-11 11:34:57

But I do like Arlo, Corin, Fraser and Fergus very much.

IndigoBell Mon 20-Jun-11 16:26:21

Don't like Miles

Like Toby - but not Tobias

And like Reuben
