Bertram Arthur Wilkinson
Rory Frederick Wilkinson

Or any combination of above that works best? I like them all but prefer Arthur/Fredrick as middle names, I think.

Bertram would be Bertie (this is the names my OH has his heart set on)

Bertram Arthur sounds fab. Not too keen on Rory.

munstersmum Fri 03-Jun-11 17:37:44

Got to be a Bertram not a Rory. Am quite taken with Frederick Bertram though smile

minipie Fri 03-Jun-11 17:41:43

Frederick is my favourite, I'd have it as a first name.

but Bertie/Bertram is good too.

MotherSnacker Fri 03-Jun-11 17:44:16

Bertram arthur has a nice ring to it. I love Bertie.

My OH will be pleased, that's his fav combo, Do you not think Bertram sounds abit odd with Wilkinson?

valiumbandwitch Sat 04-Jun-11 15:55:52

Rory. It means King.

Bertram is f*kcing ludicrous sorry. I think it means knobby parents.
Robert with Bertie for short would be better. Bertram Wilkinson. Oh dear Lord. That is so bad.

Frederick is a lot better. That's a really good name. Arthur is one of those urban chic names. I don't like it, but it's not as bad as Bertram.

IslaValargeone Sat 04-Jun-11 16:55:06

Rory is fab. Bertram, dear God no.

scarlettsmummy2 Sat 04-Jun-11 17:01:50

I like Bertie but have you read any of the Alexander McCall Smith Scotland Street books?? makes me think of those!

FriggFRIGG Sat 04-Jun-11 20:42:57

Rory is lovely.....

bertie is cute,
bertram is pretty awful,

Clary Sat 04-Jun-11 21:55:02

I like Albert nn Bertie better than Bertram tbh. Neither goes with our surname so not on our list (fine with Wilkinson tho!)

I prefer yr middle names actually. Freddie Wilkinson, mmm. Don't worry too much about the combination as middle names are rarely used. Unless they make a silly acronym.

I personally prefer Albert Wilkinson to Bertram Wilkinson, and Bertie is still a nice nickname for Albert. He could also call himself Al if he prefers when he's older, whereas with Bertram there isn't really another shortening he could use if he ever decides he doesn't like Bert/Bertie.

Edmundo Sun 05-Jun-11 13:15:47

Bertram is wanky.

Rory Frederick is brilliant.

EduStudent Sun 05-Jun-11 18:36:31

Love Bertie, though I prefer Albert to Bertram.

CandiceMariePratt Sun 05-Jun-11 18:38:09

Bertram is much nicer than Rory

Nightstar Sun 05-Jun-11 23:16:15

Gosh, a swing the other way. I don't know now! Still vacillating between the two

rooks14 Sun 05-Jun-11 23:20:31

valium :D I totally agree, the meaning of Bertram is deffo "my parents have a 4x4 even though we don't live on a farm".

rooks14 Sun 05-Jun-11 23:21:10

Rory's nice!

radancer Tue 07-Jun-11 02:36:13

Frederick Arthur or Rory Frederick.

Bertram just isn't fair.

WorzselMummage Tue 07-Jun-11 02:56:12

Rory is my fantasy baby name of the moment.. Use that!

SloganLogan Tue 07-Jun-11 08:17:31

Rory Frederick (or Frederick Arthur!)

Nightstar Tue 07-Jun-11 13:29:42

Uh... I do have a 4x4 ;-) But i did grow up on a farm, does that count?

itsohsoquiet Wed 08-Jun-11 22:22:01

I adore Bertie short for Albert

FruitSaladIsNotPudding Thu 09-Jun-11 14:18:14
