HELP! It's a boy

We've just found out that we're expecting a boy this September, which is great but DH and I can not decide on a boy's name. So much so we don't even have a short list.

Our main issue with boy's names is that the baby's last name will be Douglas and we want a name that is definitely a first name, not a last name. For example, no James because is it James Douglas or Douglas James?

I call upon the wisdom of MN. All suggestions gratefully received.

Congratulations on your forth coming DSsmile Do you want a traditional /classic name, or a modern /more unusual name?

I would say that we lean to the more traditional names, but I wouldn't discount something more unusual provided it had some sort of meaning and was easy to pronounce and spell.

My father's family, being Danish has a lot of unusual names- like Frode, Mogens, Mads, and even a Thor! But these don't really work in English......
