Really stuggling to think of a boys name I like- dd is sophia. Not due till October but looking for inspiration please. dh wanted Thomas after his grandad but I think it's really quite dull and have compromised he could maybe have it as a middle name (maybe!). Quite like Sebastian, Samual and Jackson. Thoughts appreciated and idea's very welcome!!

Thomas is lovely - and same demographic feel as Sophia. I also like Sebastian and Samuel. I don't think Jackson is a first name - as it means Jack's son. Have you considered James, Alex, Jonathan, Justin? I have just looked at our boys' names list for our now DD and boys' names are hard to come up with! If we have a DS we will reuse the boys' names we had picked for DD. Did you know that your Sophia was going to be a girl or did you have names for a DS picked then?

Samuel and Sebastian are nice (if you don't mind the same initial as Sophia).

How about...

Henry
Jacob
Jonathan
George
Felix
Nicholas
Edward
Alexander

Thomas and Sophia goes wonderfully well together and of the names you have suggested it gets my vote.

My daughter is called Sophia - my fantasy boys names are Inigo, Albert and Hector (I am not as much a pretentious twat as my choice of names makes me sound, honest guv, I just like classical names)

Sebastien is lovely, however alliterative names sound a bit daft.

Nicholas is a fine name - my brother is Nicholas (but shortens it to Nic, yes Nic with a c please don't add a k, yes he is a pretentious sod Grin)

We're calling our DS James and I would love to call a future DD Sophia, but James might be a bit too traddy if you don't like Thomas. I wouldn't worry too much about 'complimentary' DD names to be honest. Looking at it from their point of view, they will no doubt go on to live fairly independently of each other and won't care if their names fit together or not.
