ok without telling you the name...
i struggled to find a name for my son. there was never one name which stood out nor any type of name i felt would be right.
my original brief was for a name that probably wouldn't be shortened to one syllable eg. theo
after loads of searching and thinking and dp's overall useless and negative input, we finally decided on a name.
i was unhappy with it from the start (as the first and last names began with the same letter and i had hated doing this to my daughter but her name was one i loved and would not change) but it seemed the least evil.
i have not once been able to tell someone his name without feeling ashamed and embarrassed and possibly offering some mumblings about how i struggled with his name.
and now he is of an age where i am calling his name more often (....... stop playing with those wires!), i am getting their names mixed up as they are quite similar.
i also feel it diminishes the worth of my daughter's name.
so, should i go for it and change his name?
i've thought of one but dp has ruled it 'too posh' although i don't really see it that way...
