whats your opinion?

hester Thu 06-Jan-11 22:14:14

I love the name, but feel it's a bit too loaded. Tallulahs have to be dead sexy, don't they? Like Giselles have to be ethereal and feminine, and Bellas have to be beautiful...

How about Talia?

euracantha Thu 06-Jan-11 22:14:33

I know a Tallulah and a Kizzi[sisters]spooky.

mumoftoomany Thu 06-Jan-11 22:18:36

I really dislike Tallulah - it doesn't sound sexy/feminine at all imo - almost the opposite and quite comical.

onimolap Thu 06-Jan-11 22:25:02

I love it!

(but DH vetoed it, and to be fair, it doesn't sit well with surname).

Rhubarbgarden Thu 06-Jan-11 22:27:23

...does the hula

ShoppingDays Thu 06-Jan-11 22:30:00

Love it!

Simmylou Thu 06-Jan-11 22:30:10

It's quite a pretty look and sound but unfortunately, it's too much of a character name IMO. It's heavy and tired, like a perfume from the 80's, once loved, but now unsophisticated compared to modern fragrances.

Once different and beautiful but now a has-been name best consigned to the "pet's names" corner.

scurryfunge Thu 06-Jan-11 22:33:15

Common as fuck quite popular

LetThereBeRock Thu 06-Jan-11 22:39:26

It's awful.

rachxx Thu 06-Jan-11 22:45:46

there were less than a hundred named last year,so didnt think it was common?

scurryfunge Thu 06-Jan-11 22:52:37

OK, not common in the popular sense but common in the attributed to a certain bracket of society sense grin

sharbie Thu 06-Jan-11 22:54:53

doesn't jessie wallace have a tallulah

LetThereBeRock Thu 06-Jan-11 22:57:09

I'll have that song from Bugsy Malone stuck in my head for days now.

Deciduousblonde Fri 07-Jan-11 10:28:15

Indeed...Bugsy Malone! I quite like it though, and there's plenty of nicknames to choose from too.

theagedparent Fri 07-Jan-11 10:32:36

I have a Tallulah and am most certainly not common x x

It's a winner! Just out there and edgy enough, but people ought to be able to spell it.

(Let's just hope she doesn't mind a lifetime of Bugsy Malone being sung to her!)

ditavonteesed Fri 07-Jan-11 12:40:58

it is my next child (which I am not ever having but you can still dream) name.

diddl Fri 07-Jan-11 12:56:28

Don´t hate it, but prefer Tabitha.

MarniesMummy Fri 07-Jan-11 14:48:27

ditvonteesed - it is my next child (which I am not ever having but you can still dream) name.

I've got one of those too. He's a little boy called Inigo Daniel,(or Daniel Inigo depending on whether DP wins in his quest to cll his son Daniel). grin

He's a lovely wee thing and doesn't keep me up all night, need his nappy changed or demand my attention constantly.

swanandduck Fri 07-Jan-11 15:47:29

Sorry, I think it sounds ridiculous on both a baby and an adult.

Komondor Fri 07-Jan-11 16:04:41

You have got to be stunning to pull the name off. On someone quite plain looking I think Tallulah would be rediculous.

MistletoeMush Fri 07-Jan-11 16:08:42

I quite like it esp with Tally as a nm. Its quite unusual but not completely unheard of and suits both adults and children imo.
