Baxter, Dixie or Bellatrix and if so what age and sex?

rockinhippy Fri 31-Dec-10 01:40:40

I know a 9 year old female Dixie, & a 42yr old male Dixie, a 14 yr old & a 44yr old female Baxter

& no Bellatrix....can't say I'm keen on that one at all, sounds like some dodgy herb or cartoon

MardyBra Fri 31-Dec-10 01:51:27

Bellatrix. Really?

MardyBra Fri 31-Dec-10 01:52:34

BTW don't know anyone in RL with those names. Quite like Baxter though, although I'm sure someone with mention soup.

madwomanintheattic Fri 31-Dec-10 01:56:17

i know a lot of dogs called baxter... but only a single female human dixie who's about 7 i think. i think dixie was a bit popular around the height of the felix revolution. about 8 or 9 years ago? i only know the one now though. i know two pixies though <shakes head>

nappyaddict Fri 31-Dec-10 02:09:00

rockinhippy Is the 14 year old Baxter male or female?

nappyaddict Fri 31-Dec-10 03:04:36

What about a Hilda or an Ethel?

APixieInMyMulledWine Fri 31-Dec-10 06:57:47

I know of a Dixie around 2yrs old (female)

Love the name.

Don't know anyone with the other names.

onimolap Fri 31-Dec-10 07:06:58

I know one person whose nn is Dixie.

I don't know either of the others in RL.

I quite like Bellatrix, but despite being a star in the constellation Orion, it's totally dominated by the HP baddie association.

BellaBearisWideAwake Fri 31-Dec-10 07:46:05

I know a 22yo Dixie

A guardian journalist (Phil Hogan? something like that) has a teenage Baxter

HollyGoHeavily Fri 31-Dec-10 07:57:52

No - because to me they say
1) Soup
2) US Deep South and the confederacy
3) HP and Asterix

JiltedJohnsJulie Fri 31-Dec-10 09:37:45

Very happy to say no I haven't.

Lamorna Fri 31-Dec-10 09:54:11

I might consider them for pets.

CuppaTeaJanice Fri 31-Dec-10 09:56:30

My gran had several friends called Hilda and Ethel. They'd be in their late 90s now I suppose, assuming they are still alive.

My Barbie horse's foal was called Dixie, if that's any help. It was a foal in the mid 1980s, so about 25 years old now, although I'm not sure if plastic horses actually age in the same way as real ones do!!

Can't help you with Baxter and Bellatrix, closest I know are Max and Beatrix.

ChippyMinton Fri 31-Dec-10 09:59:42

I know a Dixie - in her twenties.

Don't know any Baxter, but it would work for a boy.

Bellatrix - this a joke surely?

KaraStarbuckThrace Fri 31-Dec-10 10:04:11

I know a 3 yo Baxter.

I don't know any Dixies.

You'd be insane to consider Bellatrix, sorry!

rockinhippy Fri 31-Dec-10 10:22:49

also a female Baxter,

I've only ever known/heard of that one for Girls, though surprised, as I've always thought it a bit Masculine myself confused

FIMBOisfirstfootin2moro Fri 31-Dec-10 11:38:54

Nope

swanandduck Fri 31-Dec-10 12:43:18

No, and I think they're awful names, especially Bellatrix.

NotAnotherNewNappy Sat 01-Jan-11 23:42:22

I know a Dixie, female, early twenties.

mathanxiety Sat 01-Jan-11 23:44:35

I do know a little Hilda, aged 5, and I think it's lovely, but the others not nice imo.

Nightstar Sat 01-Jan-11 23:45:31

Bellatrix fabulous as played by Helena Bonham Carter in Harry Potter

Baxter and Dixie, are they your puppies?

MrsvWoolf Sun 02-Jan-11 01:27:12

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

MrsShrekTheThird Sun 02-Jan-11 01:30:32

The only Baxter I know is a spaniel
Dixie is a baby girl at the nursery my dd went to. And
surely there are no real people called Bellatrix outside the world of Harry Potter? shock

tebbles Sun 02-Jan-11 01:40:11

I only know a mid 40s Dixie.
