Think you've decided on a name? Check out where it ranks on the official list of the most popular baby names first.
I love this as a nickname but not as a proper name. I can only think of it being short for Alice or Alexandra (not too keen on this one).
Even less keen on it :/
I love it as a nm for Alice or Alison. Not so much for Alexandra as I'm not that keen on Alex
nn for Amelie or Alena?
Alanna/AlanaAlexaAliana - lovely meaning 'noble and gracious!'Aaliyah (Hebrew) / Aliyah (Arabic)
I'm an Alison.. Ali's a shit nn. <pokes tongue>
Sorry, but you can't give the nn Ali to anybody other than an Alison IMO (Alice perhaps, at a push)If you like Ali, just call her Ali (just not Allie or Ally)
Think of something else
I like Aily (think Welsh)
How about Abigail, with Abi for short?
Arrgh I'm an Abigail and always wanted to change it to Allie or Amy! I love Allie. I don't think it has to be short for something. If u like it just use it as a full name. Could also be short for Alicia, alyssia.
Natalie or Natalia
Ali is very boyish to me, if its for a girl I think Allie is better otherwise risks being mistaken all the time for a boy.
