If I had 3 DSs called Caspar, Joseph and Gabriel? It isn't, just names I love but does it make you think I am attempting my own nativity?

doitorelsa Wed 08-Dec-10 20:11:26

No?

nickytwotimes Wed 08-Dec-10 20:12:33

no, i wouldn't

lovely names.

Whelk Wed 08-Dec-10 20:15:11

no. i don't recall a Caspar blush
Great names!

pinguwings Wed 08-Dec-10 20:20:57

I'd say yes, sorry.

Lovely names but I'd be disappointed if your dc4 wasn't then named Balthazar or Herod.

Goingspare Wed 08-Dec-10 20:28:46

Caspar is one of the 3 kings, Whelk (rather than a friendly ghost)

doitorelsa Wed 08-Dec-10 20:32:34

LOl at Herod, imagine that! Don't worry Whelk, not many people realise, which is why I asked. The other 2 are fairly obvious. I suppose Joseph is so popular now it hasn;t really got such strong associations. How about Jesus, thats nice but no good nick names...

Oooh, though call.

Great names. Love them.

On balance I think it does come across as an intentional theme. Sorry, I wish it din't IYSWIM.

Which two do you already have?

ShoppingDays Wed 08-Dec-10 21:39:35

They are all lovely names but yes I would immediately see the "theme".

SpotSplatterSplash Wed 08-Dec-10 21:43:49

Joseph and Gabriel... similar theme. I wouldn't cotton on to Caspar.

serin Wed 08-Dec-10 23:10:28

Now, if you had a DD called Mary.........

IngridFletcher Wed 08-Dec-10 23:14:46

Yes! I have 3 biblical names and people do pick up on it and I would say they are less themed than yours.

MelinaM Wed 08-Dec-10 23:52:45

No, I think they're a lovely combinations for you DS's! x

sparkle12mar08 Thu 09-Dec-10 08:00:59

They're lovely names, but yes I'd see the theme immediately sorry.

TrinityMotherOfRhinos Thu 09-Dec-10 08:11:02

I wouldn't see the theme but would think that other than caspar they are very religious names

zozzle Thu 09-Dec-10 10:05:42

Yes theme is def. there!

Hedwig3 Thu 09-Dec-10 13:51:38

No, but what a lovely theme anyway! grin

belgo Thu 09-Dec-10 13:52:45

Yes it does seem intentional but why not? Nice names.

WaftyCrank Thu 09-Dec-10 14:10:57

I have a Joseph and a Gabriel grin

Never had any comments apart from a lovely old lady in the doctors the other day who was very surprised I wasn't Catholic.

My DD isn't called Casper though.
