I like Oliver and Joseph out of those the best.

Dando Fri 12-Nov-10 21:56:58

Joseph.

Jojay Fri 12-Nov-10 21:57:33

Oliver

cece Fri 12-Nov-10 21:58:27

Joseph or Jake.

There are loads of Charlies and Olivers around here...

Greenwing Fri 12-Nov-10 22:17:56

Are you aware that Oliver was the number one boys name for last year - thousands of them!

Joseph is my favourite of the four.
Oliver Cromwell puts me off!

sophiesmummie Fri 12-Nov-10 22:23:44

I find them all too popular/dull.

jellybeans Fri 12-Nov-10 22:33:38

Jake is my favourite but I like joseph as well, others too popular.

Trying2bgd Fri 12-Nov-10 22:39:03

Charlie or Jake

SoLongAsItsHealthy Fri 12-Nov-10 22:41:03

Jake.

It's the least "common" (frequent) of the four.

mopsyflopsy Fri 12-Nov-10 22:43:10

I agree - they're all too common/overused. If I had to choose one, I'd say Joseph.

Charlie or Oliver

LouMacca Sat 13-Nov-10 10:50:19

Don't like Jake.

The other names are great but Oliver and Charlie are very popular. I would go for Joseph (Joe).

sensiblesusannigella Sat 13-Nov-10 13:44:24

Joseph is the most classic, won't age.

rachel1970 Sat 13-Nov-10 14:46:59

All too common for me personally. But Oliver has the nicest sound imo.

Tidey Sat 13-Nov-10 14:49:59

I don't give a rat's ass how popular each name is. Both my DC have names that always seem to be in the top twenty name lists. They're popular because they are good names. I like Charlie and Jake most from your list. Good luck and best wishes.

CharlieBoo Sat 13-Nov-10 15:57:57

I'm with Tidey.... They are top 20 for a reason, they're lovely names...Charlie and Oliver personally.....don't like Jake at all and Joseph is nice but do you like Joe?

scottishmummy Sat 13-Nov-10 16:10:04

whoknowswhatthefutureholds Sat 13-Nov-10 16:18:58

joseph, oliver and charlie all great names.

LadyOfTheFlowers Sat 13-Nov-10 16:21:23

If it were me, I would go Joseph. It is DS1s middle name but also I think there are a lot of Charlies, Jake I'm not sure about and Oliver is apparently on the up again.
I know of 2 new Olivers in the last 6 months or so.

I also just think Joseph is a nice name. And Joe is a lovely NN.

LynetteScavo Sat 13-Nov-10 16:22:34

Joseph

Ooopsadaisy Sat 13-Nov-10 16:28:26

I have a 14 year old Joseph - known as Joe. A good blokey name.
Our cat (now deceased) was Oliver - known as Ollie, but that shouldn't put you off.
I like all these names actually.

harleymars Sat 13-Nov-10 21:48:00

Charlie and Jake already sound dated to me. And they are always a bit scally IME.

Joseph all the way!
