Boo for a girl?

We have just started thinking about names and I really like Boo for a girl? We have quite a long surname so would like something nice and short. I know it sounds quite cutesy but think the lack of a middle name would help.

Thoughts?

Thanks

I have a friend who has a Dd called Aliyah. but since still pregnant she has only ever been called boo.

It's cute but not a name

Nice as a nickname - why not give her a proper name and then have a nickname.

Definitely NOT unless she has a different 'proper' name

What about spelling it Bu? I've met a girl called Bu and I believe it's a Vietnamese name meaning lucky...

Love it by the way!

I sent to Uní with a girl called Boo. She was gorgeous so it's a nice name to me.

Boo Radley!

Agree only as nickname - could call her Boudicca?

Report
BelligerentGhoul · 03/10/2010 21:57

Noooooooooooooooooooo to Boudicca/any other spelling thereof. Just no.

Boo is a short form of Picabo - a Native American name meaning Shining Waters (used in the Picabo region of Idaho). Same word as Peekaboo actually. I think it is dead cute!

nick name = fine
Real name = she will hate you forever

DD is Boo - NOT her real name but what she is known as (mostly).

However, her real name is equally hated by MN, so maybe I should reserve judgement.

That wasn't very helpful at all was it? Blush
