I think it's quite nice. There's a teenage boy at our school with this name and he gets along just fine. It is very American-sounding, though.

I would have said yes but just the other day someone posted about being annoyed at everyone assuming they had called their son Jackson after Michael, so I might say no now. Perhaps it is too soon after MJ's death.

I have a Jackson and am so glad i called him that. Everybody we meet loves his name and so does he. Jackson is a family name for us and this was the reason we chose it but i am so pleased we did. It really suits him and he refuses to let anyone shorten it to Jack. The only time anyone has ever mentioned michael jackson to us is for about 2 days after his death but apart from that the only time is on here when people don't like the name and try to use that as an excuse. a lot of people don't like surname sounding names and say its too american but neither of those points bother me at all i don't think american sounding names are a bad thing. I love his name and would say if you like it go for it i am glad we did. Agree with PCJ though hate the spelling Jaxon its just wrong!
