Bluebell Smart Baby Monitor?

It's a hefty price, but just wondered if any equally paranoid parents use this? And if you think it is worth it?

This is for our baby due in November after experiencing 4 losses so I am particularly paranoid about everything with this one! (my first two living children pre losses I was extremely laid back) Reviews on John Lewis website look very good but can't see much else about it.

I'd love to hear some reviews on here if poss. I trust my fellow MNers Grin

I've bought it from Boots and I love it. I was a little sceptical at first due to not wanting to attach something to my little one, however it definitely does help with my anxiety quite a bit!

Thanks @Frankiebumpjourney
Do you think it's worth spending all that money on it?

I would say so yes. Its really helped me in terms of reducing my anxiety. It's also not just a monitor, it doubles up as a nightlight, speaker, white noise machine so feels like you are getting more for you money! Do you have a current monitor?

After experiencing horrific postnatal anxiety revolving around with SIDS I’d pay literally anything to give myself peace of mine next time around.

My sister had the Owlet smart sock, which I prefer slightly because it’s completely out of the way of small hands. She really rated it.

I did consider the owlet too actually, but felt that Bluebell was more value for money in terms of the features you get! Guess its up to personal preference though :)

I will have a look at the Owlet too. I briefly glanced at it before.

Although just worked out the cost of full time childcare so we might not be getting either!

After two months with Bluebell I honestly think it’s a waste of money.

It’s flakey. Connectivity issues with the base are frequent even when less than 1 meter apart.

The thingy you attach to the baby, the sensor, is horrible to attach depending on what the baby is wearing. Not only that, because you need to apply some force to have it properly placed there’s always the risk you punch your baby in the face whilst doing it. We’ve had a few near misses. Also if you have it on and needs to hold the baby up, sometimes it can go straight to their face because obviously what they are wearing will move as well. Can even be dangerous in my opinion.

The notifications are not accurate enough. Not accurate enough to be worth its price.

I don’t understand how come it gets high ratings.

Haven’t tried owlet but at least having it attached to the feet seems easier.

Avoid bluebell at all costs.

Has anyone tried their new products? I was considering getting one on their Black Friday offers. Any help is appreciated! I'm a nervous nelly so anything to help ease that is fine by me. My friends didn't like the nanit or owlet but one has the Bluebell and recommended so just want some insight before I spend the money.

We used the Bluebell a couple of years ago now. For us, it was absolutely invaluable at grandparents whose houses are big and we wouldn't have been able to hear the baby. It's reassuring to check how they're doing. It's great to get an alert if they cry. It's great not to have to look at a video monitor every minute. Moving it between wifi networks was a bit faffy, but manageable. For us it was worth it.
