Monitor with constant audio?? Pls help!! :-)

Hi, I'm new to this site and am hoping someone can help..! Can anyone tell me if there is a baby monitor (pref video too) that keeps a constant audio without turning off after a few seconds? I can hear my baby if she cries as we live in the same house..! So that's not what concerns me - I don't need the monitor to alert me to sound I can already hear! What I want to listen out for is when I can't hear her.. Monitors all seem to alert the user to when there is sound above a certain level. Can anyone please suggest a product that just stays on? Don't know about one with constant audio but would one with a movement sensor give you reassurance? I've got the angel care one & it's really good. If it doesn't detect movement it sets an alarm off. I've forgotten to switch it off when I've picked DD up before & it really can tell the difference between her sleeping & just breathing quietly & when I've moved her. I think they do a video one now as well.
Babies do go quiet ( hopefully) but if you're listening for every time they do & worrying you're never going to get any sleep yourself.

probably just need to find an old fashioned Tomy walkabout type thing on ebay, but if its noise you cant hear you are trying to hear, you might not be able to hear it above the annoying white noise fuzz that baby monitors like this transmit anyway. IMO unless baby has something serious that needs constant monitoring, better to wait for a real shout before listening anyway/
