Anyone have experience of taking this? My rheumatologist is proposing I add this drug to the methotrexate I am currently taking. I have ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis and am flaring badly on methotrexate 25mg weekly. I have tolerated the methotrexate well, but am not keen on the sound of this new drug.

I do! I have RA and had to stop taking methotrexate and sulfsalazine because they were affecting my white blood count, so leflunomide was the only option left.

I was apprehensive too but have been taking it for about 4 months now (along with a low dose of hydroxychloroquine) - I had no side effects and it now has my symptoms pretty much under control. I'm still not convinced it won't affect my white blood count in the long run, but so far so good.
