I was diagnosed PSAT 2 years ago. I've been on methotrexate, sulfasalazine and steroids.
I came off the mtx about 7 weeks ago and have been really struggling with the pain and swelling, especially the last week.
The hospital gave me steroid tablets for a month which have helped as I find them more effective then the injection.
I've seen the doctor and he gave me nefopam. I took this alongside paracetamol and ibuprofen and it barely touched it.
Saw the dr again today and he's given me tramadol to try.
I'm so worried that if the pain doesn't greatly improve that we might have to give up the idea of having a second baby, this really upsets me!
I know it can improve during pregnancy and flare up once you've had the baby.
I'm struggling now with daily life and am worried about what the next year could bring.
I'm trying to stay positive but I'm so worn out and fed up with it all
My husband is amazing and helps out as much as he can but can't keep taking time off work to help me.
Has anybody else had any similar experiences? Would love to hear your thoughts/advice
