i asked about soap making a few weeks ago, im really interested in your tips on the selling side ie certification, prices, packaging and where you sell. a friend of mine liked my soap and wants to buy 50-100 and sell them at her flea market and would really apreciate your experiance i dont know what to charge, i also do lipp balm, bath bombs, shampoo bars and shaving bars. i dont know how much to charge.
do reckon i could sell at farmers markets.
sorry lots of questions.

With Christmas just around the corner I imagine you will be busy

Have you thought about contacting the PTA's of the local schools and asking them if you can have a stall at their christmas fayres etc or even approach them about holding a ladies evening where you can have your home made goodies on show...maybe try and find a couple of other mums in your area who make other home made goodies (cards, jewellery etc)and ask if they would be interested in joining forces with you.

Ive done this before and have had good sucess...good luck with the selling.

Hi b2b, im here im here!

We sell our soaps on the net, we brought a domain name and then set it up.
What you need to do is work out how much of all the ingredients you will need for the amount your making, including the packaging then devide it by the amount your making and add on however much profit you would like to make, thats the best way then you can make sure you dont loose money.
Plus to get them selling we did a special offer on bogofs in the first month to get people interested.

I think you could sell them well at markets i know round out way we dont have alot of sellers for this sort of thing but you will have to speak to your local market inspector about traders liscences.

Any other questions let me know

you could sell at craft markets too, surely. No license needed (I believe), just book a stall.
