DD (age 10) got a bit Edward Scissorhands with her doll and she ended up with a skin head (the doll that is, not DD)
We finger-knitted a long length, sewed to the doll's head at the back and then knotted lengths of black wool all the way along it, then sewed it all to her head
She now has long black hair, which DD was delighted with and promptly dressed her ina black dress.
I said "ooh she's a goth doll", DD rather witheringly told me "no, she's an emo"

I have made DD's Felicity Wishes doll into a goth doll <pride> and I can barely sew a button on!
