Does anyone have a Christmas pudding hat knitting pattern for babies?

I was wondering if any of you fab knitters could help me. Ages ago, (probably last December LOL), I saw a baby wearing a Christmas pudding beanie hat. Now I am finally pregnant and have recently learned to knit, I thought I'd give it a go.
I've searched online for the pattern and in a few knitting shops, with no luck.

Apparently it was from 'Simply Knitting' issue 22 and the pattern was called 'Yuletide Delights'. I contacted Simply Knitting but they couldn't help as it would breech copyright.

Hope someone can help and maybe send me a photocopy. If I start knitting now, it might just be ready for Christmas!

Sally

Thanks paranoid piggy, that's definitely the hat I saw last Christmas, but I'd really like to be able to knit my own, especially as I'd need one in size 3- 6 months.

So if anyone has this pattern- pretty please could you help me out? Grovel Grovel ...

I looked a bit and there's a few very cute ones. I'm afraid I'm only an aspiring knitter so I couldn't tell you if they were workable patterns or not.

One has notes about adapting the pattern to a three month old.

I could probably adapt a pattern for you from a plain beanie hat, if you had one (a pattern, I mean).

Its just a matter of changing colours, and if you are anything more than a basic knitter, its prety easy!

I have a crochet pattern for one. I could scan it and email it, but don't want you to publish your e mail worldwide. If you pm me I'll try to find it. I've not made it, but I did make a rabbit one from the same book which was very cute.

Not on the comp, but from memory you should be able to find one on knitting pattern central.

Sorry on phone but you should find a few on there.

hi there
a bit weird I know but there is a Jean Greenhowe pattern available for a pudding tea cosy that could be easily adapted - just sew it all the way up! we've just tried the unadapted large cosy on my 21/2 year olds head, hence the idea. the pattern book is called the Jean Greenhowe's Christmas Special and the pattern is really simple with the help of youtube videos, especiallly if you're right handed unlike me! ;) the pattern book shouldn't cost more than £3.50 and there are lots of quite easy and v sweet patterns, especially if you want to make teddy bears etc in the future. Good luck - I know that knitting stopped me going nuts at home when LO was tiny! Jayne

I'm a crocheter, not a knitter so I haven't tried it.

harecare, I would love the crochet pattern if you wouldn't mind?

This poor 3 month old baby is going to be about 2 now and probably doesn't want a Christmas pudding hat any more Grin

There's this one; it's very easy if you're a beginner. I'd probably use 3mm size needles instead of 4mm for a baby (someone please correct me if you're think I'm wrong)
