Can you recommend some websites for modern knitting patterns for babies please?

My sisters MIL is knitting away for DS2 and I am not generally a fan of hand knitting. Where can I find some modern/funky patterns that I could buy for her to guide her in the right direction?

I've seen lots of girls stuff, but the boys stuff is not so good

I've not even found anything on Etsy

Join ravelry (it might take a day or two to get your invite) and there are thousands of patterns, some free, some available for a small fee. It is a fantastic database.

And there is a mumsknitters group on there!

(that is, a group of MNers, not just mums who knit. although there are tons of groups like that as well)

If you dont want to join, give me a few more details, ie cardigans? Hats, etc and I'll have a browse and see if there are any good patterns for free for you that are published on the internet

Ooh Bella, I had forgotten all about them. I am a member already from when I was trying to source some wool wraps for DS1. Off to have a browse.

Thank you

If you want to have a mooch for me too, that would be fab. Hats, blankets, cardis, booties anything as long as it is a bit more funky. He's a July baby, so maybe slightly bigger than newborn would be better.

will have a look now - ask on the mumsknitters group as well, some of them are really good at finding lovely patterns

I went into a knitting shop on holiday, and brought some lovely chunkey patterns for my mum to use for my girls

debbie bliss does great patterns for kids. maybe go to the local library, they usually have loads of books. you don't want to spend too much, if anything, on patterns, as babies things knit up really quickly

The bib pattern is in the book Mason-Dixon Knitting (which I have) but to be honest it's just a square of garter stitch plus the sides and a button hole. Anyone who is not a beginner (you MIL I suspect) could improvise it
