Debbie Bliss merino aran which I'm told is discontinued. I'm not a particularly experienced knitter so any help with what type of wool would be a good alternative would be fab. (Especially if slightly cheaper than Ms Bliss' version wink).

Ta!

is this any help? Best thing to do is if you have a local wool shop ask them or have a search on the internet for them putting in the % of what type you want eg: 100% merino wool or 50% merino 50% aran or similar.

these people have always been helpful when i've emailed and try a few knitting forums to just in case

Thank you! I was afraid I was going to be sad and ignored but that is brilliant advice. Cheers!

Has it changed its name to Cashmerino Aran?.

Or there's also this on. Rialto Aran

Cashmerino Aran is wool, microfibre and cashmere. Merino Aran is just merino.

Rialto Aran would probably be the best match but any aran weight wool/wool mix would do.

Have a look at www.yarndex.com too.
