I've got some lovely lavender from my mum's garden and was thinking of making mini Christmas stockings filled with it. This is fine but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas of useful ways to use the lavender? Thanks.
half cup butter quarter cup granulated sugar 1.5 cups flour half tsp lavender flowers half tsp cinnamon caster sugar for sprinkling
oven 400/200/gas 6
cream butter and sugar to fluffy chop lavender to release oils stir flowers and cinnamon into flour add flour to butter/sugar, work into a dough wrap in clingfilm, chill 15 mins roll dough out between wax paper (v important, rolling in flour makes them too dry) bake 8-10 mins until edges just golden take out of oven while still floppy, they will harden sprinkle with caster sugar while still hot
