I have finished the bob the builder cake! Honestly, do you think the Bob is ok?

There's a couple of pics on my profile, if anyone wants to see...sill undecided about putting orange squares on the shirt what do you think? I'm pleased with the rest of the cake, but Bob was difficult and now can only see all the mistakes

Oh good god - it's a proper Bob the builder cake - was just musing that maybe I could do a Bob cake for ds b'day next week, was thinking maybe round cake fashioned into bob like face...now feel rather humbled and crap! Your cake is fab! Don't you dare let my ds see it!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! You know when you make something, and all you can see are the bits that you had to bodge a bit??!!
Stareyeyed, this is a hobby really, it's about the fith novelty cake I've made, but have kind of offered to make people cakes, as needed the extra cash.....this is the second one ive made for other people. I should put the squares on pink chick, but am not great at painting and dont want to mess it up, though I could make new arms if i really balls it up i guess!
Go for it, dilbertina, it will look brill!

I make cakes too for a hobby. I've only worked with chocolate though never marzipan.

Really, Stareyeyed, what type of choc cakes? Did you see the ones on the Hairy Bikers this week, they were amazing! This one's sugarpaste, I made modelling paste for the first time for the figures!

he looks lovely, like he's sat in sunflower valley quaffing a bottle of wine all afternoon.

how long did it take you? its amazing. one of the best cakes i've ever seen.

yes I did make the chocolate pieces. I was told I could grate chocolate to make them I ended up with a huge amount of faffing to do it.
